Cookie Policy

Last updated: 17 October 2026

This Cookie Policy explains how cookies and similar technologies are used on H-BAR — www.h-bar.gr, their purposes and how you can manage your choices.

It supplements our Privacy Policy, which describes the processing of personal data in greater detail.

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored on your device through your browser when you visit a website. They allow websites to remember choices and support particular services.

Some cookies contain unique identifiers that may be linked to browsing information. The absence of a name or email address does not necessarily mean that the information is anonymous.

2. Why cookies are used

Strictly necessary cookies

These support functions necessary to provide a service you request, such as security, authorised user login and remembering your cookie choices.

This category includes consent-management records such as viewed_cookie_policy, CookieLawInfoConsent and cookielawinfo-checkbox-*, which are used to remember the relevant preferences.

Functionality and preference cookies

These relate to additional features and remembering preferences. Whether consent is required depends on the particular purpose and whether the cookie is necessary for a function you have requested.

Analytics cookies

H-BAR uses Google Analytics 4 to understand website traffic and improve its content. Information may include page views, sessions, interactions and technical characteristics of your device or browser.

Related cookies include _ga and _ga_*, which distinguish visitors and maintain session information. The use of these non-essential cookies requires your consent.

Google Tag Manager is used for the technical management of the relevant tags.

Further information is available on Google’s page explaining how Google uses cookies.

3. Third-party content and services

Some pages may include embedded content or tools provided by external services. H-BAR uses, among other services, the Ko-fi support widget.

Loading or using these services may transmit technical information, such as your IP address, to the relevant provider and may involve that provider’s own cookies or similar technologies.

Providers explain their processing purposes and practices in their own privacy policies. This policy does not replace the information supplied by those services.

4. Consent and changing your choices

We use the GDPR Cookie Consent plugin to manage cookie preferences.

Through the cookie-management interface, you can choose which optional categories to accept and save your preferences. Consent is not required for strictly necessary cookies.

Simply visiting the website, continuing to browse or scrolling a page does not constitute consent to non-essential cookies.

You can change your preferences or withdraw consent at any time through cookie management. Rejecting optional cookies does not prevent access to H-BAR’s reading content.

5. Storage duration and deletion

Duration varies between cookies. Session cookies relate to the current browsing session, while persistent cookies remain until they expire or are deleted.

Recorded durations appear in the table below. Your browser may enforce shorter retention periods.

You can also delete or block cookies through your browser settings. Blocking all cookies may affect certain features, while deleting preference cookies may cause the consent interface to appear again.

6. Updates and contact

This policy may be revised when website services, technologies or relevant settings change. The date of the latest update appears at the beginning of this page.

For questions about cookies, contact info@h-bar.gr.

7. Managing choices and cookie list

Below you will find access to cookie settings and the table of entries maintained in the consent-management tool, showing each cookie’s name, type, duration and description.
